How it all began
Already when I was a teenager the „Motorbike Virus“ got me and didn’t let go until now! My first bike was a totally wrecked Yamaha RD50, without the TÜV certificate (germanTechnical Supervisory Association) and documents.
That was all I could afford with my pocket money and without my parents permission! After that what followed was a new Zündapp WC50, with full cover panel and integral monocouqe construction. This was something very different and my first own reconstruction!
Following that there were many japanese bikes, which I bought for little money, until the first BMW R100 GS (vehicle involved in an accident) was rebuild and maneuvered. It had just what I was looking for to relax on the country roads!
The outcome of this was my love for BMW Boxer models, which still continues. Maybe the fact that I constructed my own Racingbike at the end of the 247 models, with great help by Mr. Helmut Mader from „Motortuning“, helped it, too!
Having the picture of the MR 01 displayed in the internal magazine „BMW Werkszeitung“ was a dream come true. First as a testdriver for the new R1100 (type 259) and later in the BMW Motorbike testing during the trial period.
All the testing and driving wasn’t by far enough for me and I started to take part in many, very diverse Bikeraces, in the beginning as Club sport, later on as Zuvi. My mentors back then were Mr. Thomas Bischof (from the Pirelli-Metzeler Racing Department) and Mr. Helmut Dähne (Pirelli-Metzeler Tire-Development and a racing legend himself). After that I was able to start driving real races.
Next on the agenda was the Supersport „B“ license and long distance races for„Kule Wampe“, later on „Moto
aktiv“. Now it was time to find a name for the team! Since „sponsored by Mom“ wasn’t appropriate, I concentrated on what’s important and the result was the name
„J.F.F. – Team“, which means „Just For Fun“ in german and that is what it was supposed to be!
During my job on constructions I got to see a lot of places in the world and finally I got stuck in Hungary. This is where the foundation of „NÍVÓ & J.F.F. Motor Team GmbH“ was layed in the year 1995.
A lot happened in the last few years and the market has changed completely, so I stopped the distribution of Suzuki and Husqvarna Motorbikes. From now on it was „back to the roots“ and the import and distribution of Metzeler-Pirelli and Michelin tires were extended steadily and it takes our full attention during the season.
But it is just a seasonable business and there ain’t much to do during the winter months in selling tires for motorbikes. That’s the reason why I was looking for a new scope, reduced my passion for the races a little bit and changes the racing bike against a touring motorbike!
That is the reason why now I would love to plan and arrange an unforgettable Tour for YOU and share some of the passion and great fun riding a motorbike through gorgeous landscapes with you!
